How to Get There
What to Expect
Drive, Chip and Putt is open to boys and girls ages 7-15. Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in four age categories: 7-9 years old; 10-11 years old; 12-13 years old; and 14-15 years old.
Competition Overview
- Each participant will compete in all three skills (Drive, Chip and Putt).
- Participants will attempt three shots per skill, for a total of nine shots. Participants accumulate points per shot in all three skills.
- The champion in each individual skill competition will be determined by the participant with the most points accumulated in that particular skill.
- The overall champion in each age category will be determined by the participant with the most points accumulated between all three skills.
Drive Skill
- Each participant will attempt three drives from the same teeing area.
- All drives will be played to a 40-yard wide grid and the ball must come to rest in the grid to score points.
Chip Skill
- Each participant will attempt three chips from the same location approximately 10-15 yards from the hole.
- All chips will be measured and scored from the center of the hole with lines clearly marking the scoring rings.
Putt Skill
- Each participant will attempt three total putts, with one attempt from each of the following distances: 6’, 15’ and 30’.
- All putts will be measured and scored from the center of the hole with lines clearly marking the scoring rings.
Awards
- Prizes will be awarded to individual skill champions as well as overall champions for boys and girls in each age category.
Tee Times and Additional Information
- Tee times and any additional information needed for the qualifier will be shared via email communication after the close of registration.

We are excited to welcome you to the Drive, Chip & Putt Regional Qualifier at TPC Sawgrass! Below you’ll find all the important details to help you prepare for a smooth and memorable experience.

Practice Information
Competitors may practice any day prior to the competition.
Practice Balls: $30 per bag, available in the Golf Shop.
Practice Grounds (Full Swing): Open daily 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (last bag sold at 6:00 PM).
Stadium Practice Greens: Close after the last tee time (approx. 3:00 PM daily).
Tuesdays Only: Both Practice Grounds and Greens close at 1:00 PM (last bag sold at 12:00 PM).
Special Rates
Competitors and immediate family may book a round on the Stadium Course at discounted rates:
$125 – Drive, Chip & Putt Participant
$275 – Adult/Guardian & Immediate Family
Booking Window: 5 days prior to your desired date (valid for tee times Sept. 5 – Sept. 7).

Starting Times & Leaderboard
Check your starting time and follow the live leaderboard on the Event Page.
Please check in at least one hour prior to your start time to receive your Tee gift, Scorecard, and Rules sheet, and Orientation.
Report to the Drive Skill Tent at least 5 minutes before your start time for setup and instructions.
Competitors will rotate their place inside of their assigned group for each skill. (i.e. First name in the group goes first for Drive, Second name in the group goes first for Chip, and Third name in the group goes first for Putt)
Awards Ceremony
Awards are presented after each division finishes.
Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each skill, as well as overall winners.
Advancing competitors will be interviewed by media outlets, including Golf Channel.
Advancement Path:
Top Overall Winner from Regionals advances to the National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club on the Sunday before The Masters, April 5, 2026.
Rules & Important Information
Please review the official Rules & Regulations before competition day.
Withdrawals: Email me directly with your child’s information if they must withdraw.
Weather: Competition will be held rain or shine. Review our Weather Policy by clicking here.
Once a player begins, all 9 shots must be completed in order—no practice shots allowed in between.
Scorecards must be turned in immediately after putting at the Scoring Room located inside The Perch.
Upon completion of the competition, participants will receive a ticket for free ice cream from Mister Softee.
Spectator Guidelines
Parents and spectators are encouraged to cheer!
Coaching or advice is not permitted from the start of the Drive skill until final score submission.
