Personal Mobility Policy

Augusta National, Inc. (“ANI”) has established this Mobility Device Policy (“Policy”) for the safety of patrons, ANI employees, and mobility device users at the Masters Tournament.

1. Permitted Devices. ANI permits the use of the following mobility devices (“Permitted Devices”) by patrons in any areas open to patron use when the Permitted Device is required because of a disability:

a) Wheelchairs, including manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and electric scooters;

b) Paramobiles/paragolfers having a total width of less than thirty-six (36) inches; and

c) Manually-powered mobility aids such as walkers, crutches, canes, braces, and other similar devices.

2. Unpermitted Devices. Based upon the size, weight, and speed of the following devices (“Unpermitted Devices”), the volume of pedestrian traffic, terrain conditions, unknown weather conditions, sound produced by the device in operation, and the risk of harm to individuals (collectively, the “Safety Concerns”), ANI does not allow the use of the following mobility devices by patrons at the Events:

a) Any mobility device with a combustion motor;

b) Golf cars/carts;

c) Segways (two-wheeled, gyroscopically stabilized, personal transportation devices);

d) Paramobiles/paragolfers having a total width exceeding thirty-six (36) inches; and

e) Pointed extendable hiking poles or sticks longer than forty (40) inches.

3. Other Devices. For other devices not specifically identified as a Permitted Device or Unpermitted Device herein (“Other Devices”), ANI reserves the right to inspect and permit or prohibit such Other Devices in its sole discretion, taking into consideration the Safety Concerns.

4. Operating Devices. Individuals shall operate Permitted Devices safely in light of the existing conditions of the golf course and other facilities and safety risks related thereto. Permitted Device users should consider, among other factors, the volume of pedestrian traffic, the terrain, and the prevailing environmental conditions. Permitted Devices shall not be operated in excess of three (3) miles per hour.
