HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN GOLF?
Watching old videos of Jack Nicklaus play that my dad showed me and watching The Short Game. It's so cool that my family and I have become friends with Avery Zweig who was on The Short Game!
WHO INTRODUCED YOU TO GOLF?
My dad would take me and my sister to the golf course all the time and he would reward us with Hubba Bubba bubble gum and Nestle chocolate milk when we had good practice sessions.
WHO DO YOU NORMALLY PLAY GOLF WITH?
My sister Emerson or my friend Morgan
WHO IS YOUR GOLF INSTRUCTOR?
Mike McGetrick
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT PLAYING GOLF?
I love bombing drives, playing well, making long putts and winning tournaments!
WHAT PART OF GOLF DO YOU LIKE TO PRACTICE THE MOST?
Making the big dawg GROWL - practicing working the ball left and right with my driver
WHAT’S THE MOST DIFFICULT THING ABOUT GOLF?
To recover after hitting a bad shot or come back the next day after having a bad round. I've always had trouble controlling my emotions on the golf course, but I've gotten a lot better at keeping my emotions in check over the past year, which has improved my scores.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CLUB?
Da Big Dawg (Driver)
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GOLF COURSE IN THE WORLD?
Ocean Course at Kiawah
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT IN GOLF SO FAR?
Making the DCP National Finals
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER JUNIORS PARTICIPATING IN DCP WHO ARE TRYING TO REACH THE NATIONAL FINALS?
Practice the little details. Something as simple as how the announcer pronounces your name can throw you off. Ask your parent to practice announcing you while mispronouncing your name to prepare you for anything. My dad would do that to help me prepare for DCP and I always thought it was silly, but it actually works. Practice going through the different rounds on your practice facility and score yourself. And if you don't make the next round don't give up because there's always next year.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT PARTICIPATING IN DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT?
The feeling of victory and knowing that I'm about to out-perform my sister.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM YOUR LOCAL, SUBREGIONAL OR REGIONAL QUALIFIERS:
In the local qualifier - I remember having a Mango Chainsaw flavored liquid death (a sparkle water) after my win. In my subregional qualifier - I made sure to putt with my taco balls, which powered me to victory. In my regional qualifier - I wore my all-whites, and I hit all three drives over 250!
HAVE YOU TRIED TO QUALIFIY FOR DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT IN THE PAST? IF SO, PLEASE LIST EACH YEAR AND YOUR PREVIOUS RESULTS:
2016 - I sunk my 30-footer to win and beat my sister even though I was actually too young to compete. 2017 - I did not make it out of the first round. 2018 - I made it to the regional finals. There was a massive storm, and I did not make it to Augusta. 2019 - I did not make it out of the subregional. 2021 - I did not make it out of the subregional. 2022 - I did really well in the subregional but missed out on advancing to the Regional finals by a scorecard playoff. 2023 - You know what happened!!
DID YOU WATCH LAST YEAR’S DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT NATIONAL FINALS ON TELEVISION? IF SO, WHAT IMPACT DID THAT HAVE ON YOUR PARTICIPATION THIS YEAR?
I watched a bit of last year. Two years ago, I watched my sister, Emerson, compete in the finals. It was hard for me to watch as I knew I had the ability to be there. I did learn a lot, though. Emerson finished 4th after being tied for first entering the putting section. She blew both putts by the hole when she didn't need to. I won't make that same mistake. Trust me.
LIST FROM STRONGEST TO WEAKEST – DRIVING, CHIPPING, PUTTING:
Driving, Putting, Chipping
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO THE MASTERS BEFORE? IF SO, WHEN?
Yes - I went in 2022 to watch my sister, Emerson, compete in the finals. We also got to watch all three rounds of the ANWA, which was really fun. And we got to go to the Monday practice round with my sister and my friend, Mia Hammond.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GOLF ACCESSORY (HAT, HEADCOVER, BALL MARKER, ETC.)?
Headcovers!! I consider myself a headcover collector, and all of my headcovers have names and unique personalities. I have a monkey named Madame Jüa, a ram named Madame Battering Ram, a sheep named Madame Shawnese (after Shawn the Sheep), a shark named Madame Maneater, a bear named Madame BeWare, a dog named Madame Jüpop, and a lion named John Daly.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MASTERS MEMORY? U.S. OPEN OR U.S. WOMEN’S OPEN MEMORY? PGA CHAMPIONSHIP OR WOMEN’S PGA CHAMPIONSHIP MEMORY?
I watched the John Daly 30 for 30 on how he won the PGA Championship, and I thought it was so cool how he just showed up without practicing and won the whole darn thing. Now that's a slay!!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY WATCHING GOLF ON TV?
When Jordan Speith won the British Open I remember that he hit his a drive way off line and he was able to drop the ball super far from the hole and somehow made a great putt to save bogey.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MALE GOLFER, AND WHY?
John Daly cause he has personality and he wears wacky outfits. Since I was little, my dad has always compared me to John Daly for how I play on the course and how I behave off the course.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE FEMALE GOLFER, AND WHY?
Lydia Ko because her name is so fun to say!
WHO IS THE COOLEST PLAYER IN GOLF, AND WHY?
Me, of course. Because I've got swag.
HAVE YOUR EVER PLAYED WITH SOMEONE FAMOUS? IF SO, WHO? PLEASE DESCRIBE THE CIRCUMSTANCES:
Jack Nicklaus comes to our club each year, and I have seen him almost every year since 2015. It is fun to spend time with him and his wife, Barbara. They are both big Buckeye fans, and we can all root against That Team Up North.
IF YOU COULD CHOOSE TO PLAY GOLF WITH A DREAM FOURSOME, WHO WOULD THE OTHER THREE PEOPLE BE?
Michael Jordan (as long as he gave me a free pair of Jordan golf shoes to play in and cause he likes to gamble on the golf course), CJ Stroud, and my friend Judah Desser
DO YOU HAVE ANY SUPERSTITIONS AS IT RELATES TO GOLF? IF SO, PLEASE DESCRIBE:
I like to play with even number Taco Golf Balls because my personal trainer is obsessed with tacos and has inspired me to always play with taco balls. I used them in putting and chipping when I advanced to the finals.
DO YOU PLAY ANY GOLF VIDEO GAMES? IF SO, WHICH ONE(S)?
Yes. Tiger Woods PGA Tour '09, and Ultimate Golf. Also, I use my TrackMan a lot, and I play JunkYard, and Streets of Neon.
WHAT FOOD WOULD YOU SERVE AT YOUR CHAMPIONS DINNER AT AUGUSTA NATIONAL?
Five Guys - it is my go-to victory dinner! My order is a cheeseburger with pickles and ketchup, fries with vinegar, and a chocolate, peanut butter, and banana milkshake to top it off.

WHAT’S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?
Stupid is as stupid does - Forrest Gump
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
I want to be a marine biologist because I am fascinated by sharks.
DESCRIBE YOURSELF:
I am a lean, mean, fightin machine. People describe me as a combination of John Daly and John McEnroe. However, I'd say being kind, caring, and compassionate are my best qualities. My mom thinks I'm more like Cartman in South Park; I do consider him to be my spirit animal. I am very competitive and don't like to lose. I always put my friends first, and I am a people person. Overall, I'd say I'm a shoe-addicted, Stanley-loving, Lululemon girl.
