My grandpa bought me clubs and I went to a Girls Golf Event for my first time to play a one-hole tournament. Coach Cori taught me how to swing.

I normally play golf with my golf friends and my dad, plus the other players in tournaments. I enjoy playing practice games with other girls who my coach teaches.

John Kim- Legend of Arrowhead Golf Course, Glendale, AZ. I started with him in May 2021. Before Coach John, I had Coach Sheila at the 500 Club.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT PLAYING GOLF?
It's a fun sport and it keeps me calm.

Keeping your temper after a bad shot. I'm working on it.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GOLF COURSE IN THE WORLD?
Royal Palms Golf Course, Mesa, Arizona. It is right next to a frozen custard stand and shares the parking lot with it. We always get custard.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT IN GOLF SO FAR?
Making it to Augusta, Georgia for the National Drive Chip & Putt Finals. After that is scoring below par.
HAVE YOU EVER PARTICIPATED IN A USGA OR PGA OF AMERICA EVENT? IF SO, WHICH ONE(S), WHEN, AND HOW DID YOU DO?
I play in Firebirds Club with the Southwest PGA alot. I did the Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour this summer and won first place at the championship in Sedona.

Yes, with my coach's group in the summer.

LOCAL QUALIFYING SITE / RESULTS / MEMORABLE MOMENTS:
Arriving early to practice when no one else was there but my golf friend Lelani and her family. Lelani, her little sister and I all qualified to move on to the sub-regional.
SUBREGIONAL QUALIFYING SITE / RESULTS / MEMORABLE MOMENTS:
Qualifying with Iliana (Lelani's little sister) for the regional. We thought I did not make it because I messed up my putting. But, I got second. I was so happy. My mom twirled me around in the air. We called Coach John and he said he was clearing his day to come to the regional.
REGIONAL QUALIFYING SITE / RESULTS / MEMORABLE MOMENTS:
When I sank my 15-foot putt and I heard my mom yelling "Yes! J Yes!" Also, when my first chip was bad (1 point) and I adjusted to get 20 on the next chip. Lastly, when my last drive went all the way to 140 yards.
HAVE YOU TRIED TO QUALIFIY FOR DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT IN THE PAST? IF SO, PLEASE LIST EACH OF THE YEARS AND PREVIOUS RESULTS:
2019. I got second in chipping at the local event. I did not move on. I got very nervous and did not putt well.
DID YOU WATCH LAST YEAR’S DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT NATIONAL FINALS ON TELEVISION? IF SO, WHAT IMPACT DID THAT HAVE ON YOUR PARTICIPATION THIS YEAR?
No, I did not watch last year's Drive Chip & Putt on TV. But I watched last year's and the other years on YouTube. These have made me try hard and achieve my goals. I am very excited to see the clubhouse and greens. I look forward to meeting the other finalists.

I'm not allowed to watch much TV, but I watched the first Augusta National Women's Amateur movie online. I enjoyed watching Jennifer Kupcho and Maria Fassi play together.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY WATCHING GOLF ON TV?
My favorite memory is the first time I watched the movie the Short Game on Netflix. It was cool because it showed friendships between players and how they can still be rivals. I liked how the kids trained so hard to prove to the world they were good golfers. I want to go to the worlds and place in the top ten.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MALE GOLFER, AND WHY?
I have two. Tiger Woods, because he is a good golfer and good sport. I also like Bubba Watson because he is good at golf and made a big donation to the Phoenix Children's Hospital to help the kids my dad works with.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE FEMALE GOLFER, AND WHY?
Alexa Pano. I like Alexa because she is young, dedicated and trains hard to be one of the first women to play golf and win at the Augusta National Women's Amateur.
WHO IS THE COOLEST PLAYER IN GOLF, AND WHY?
Nelly Korda, because she has a sister with the same first name as me and she won the gold medal in the Olympics

Korean mondu, salad with Italian dressing and croutons and rice. Whole white milk or water to drink. For dessert, we would have brownies.

I sometimes get frustrated when I hit a bad shot at golf and lose control of myself. I have been working on overcoming that bad feeling, so that when I hit a bad shot I think about the next shot and you will hit a better shot than the first one.
