Playing with my dad and grandpa

Dad and grandpa

My family, friend Rocco at our course, and friends (Thomas, Rocco, Antonio) at US Kids tournaments.

Who is your golf teacher?
My dad, Kyle Phelps and Josh Koch

What do you like most about playing golf?
Competitiveness, making friends through playing in tournaments, and I like that it’s challenging.

What part of golf do you like to practice the most?
Drives and trying to hit the ball as far as I can, and flop shots.

What’s the most difficult thing about golf?
The mental part – dealing with bad shots. Also traveling to golf tournaments which are usually at lead an hour drive.

What is your favorite club?
Sand wedge – I like that you can do different types of shots with it.

What is your favorite course in the world?
Ko Olina Golf Club – Honolulu, Hawaii

What is your biggest achievement in golf so far?
Qualifying for DCP Finals! Playing in the US Kids World Golf Championship at Pinehurst.

NE PGA Jr – Wanumetonomy – 1st place
NE PGA Jr – Louisquisset – Tied for 1st

Did you watch last year’s Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals on television? If so, what impact did that have on your participation this year?
Yes – watching DCP finals made me want to work harder so I could qualify.

Tiger Woods winning The Masters in 2019.

What is your favorite memory of watching golf on TV?
My family watches golf every Sunday evening – we set up TV trays in the living room and watch the final round.

Who is your favorite male golfer, and why?
Matthew Wolff because of his unique swing and power.

Who is your favorite female golfer, and why?
Lexi Thompson – because she plays in a charity tournament at our golf course and she is nice.

Who is the coolest player in golf, and why?
Dustin Johnson because he stays calm and focused.

Have you ever played with someone famous? Who? Please describe the circumstances:
I met Duane Wade on the driving range of Miami Beach Golf Club.
I was in a Titleist Commercial with Rafael Cabrera-Bello

If you could choose to play golf with a dream foursome, who would the other three people be?
Stephen Curry, Tiger Woods and Matthew Wolff.

Do you have any superstitions as it relates to golf? If so, please describe:
I always do a flop shot as my last warm up shot before a tournament.

Golden Tee, The Golf Club 2019 and VR Golf.
