Drive, Chip and Putt, organized by the PGA of America, USGA and the Masters Tournament, will open online registration and release the schedule for the 2020-2021 qualifying season on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
Drive, Chip and Putt is a free youth golf development initiative aiming to help younger generations begin their lifelong connection with golf by providing a fun, interactive platform for participants of all skill levels. Open to boys and girls ages 7-15, local qualifying will take place at hundreds of locations throughout all 50 states beginning in May and continuing through June, July, and August. Qualifiers are conducted by all 41 sections of the PGA of America across the country.
Top performers at the local level will advance to subregional events followed by regional qualifiers at some of the country’s best championship venues in July/August and September, respectively. The top 80 performers – 40 boys and 40 girls – will earn an invitation to the National Finals at Augusta National on Sunday, April 4, the eve of the 2021 Masters Tournament.
The schedule for the upcoming qualifying season will be released when registration opens on January 22, including local and subregional events and the 10 venues set to host regional qualifiers this fall. Registration is free and open to age-eligible participants of all experience levels.
